Omega SwiftLink Development Order Terms

Effective from: 1 September 2026

These terms apply specifically to paid development orders for Omega SwiftLink. They supplement Steel Reef’s general Terms and Conditions. If there is any conflict concerning an Omega SwiftLink development order, these terms will take precedence.

Please read them carefully before ordering.

1. Who we are

Steel Reef is the trading name of Exploratory Drilling Ltd, of Suites 201 and 204, 20 Fletcher Gate, Nottingham, NG1 2FZ, United Kingdom.

References in these terms to “Steel Reef”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean Exploratory Drilling Ltd. References to “you” or “your” mean the person placing the development order.

Questions about these terms or an existing order can be sent to customerenquiries@steel-reef.com

2. Nature of the order

Omega SwiftLink is still in development. By placing an order, you are purchasing the right to receive the completed product if the funding target is reached and development is successfully completed.

Your payment will help fund the design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing preparation and initial production run.

Although we may describe early supporters as “investing in the project”, a development order is a purchase of a future product. It is not a financial investment and does not provide shares, ownership, voting rights, interest, profit participation or any other financial return.

3. Funding target

The project is subject to a fixed minimum number of paid development orders. This target was set before the order window opened and will not be increased during the funding period.

Progress towards the target is displayed on the Omega SwiftLink product page.

The development-order window will remain open until the end of 31 December 2026, unless the target is reached sooner.

If the target is reached, the development-order group will close and the project will proceed.

If the target is not reached by the end of the year, we will cancel the project and refund the amount paid for each development order to the original payment method. We will aim to process those refunds within 14 days.

We will not be responsible for differences caused by exchange-rate movements or fees charged independently by your bank, card issuer or payment provider.

4. Estimated timetable

Our current development plan is to:

  • Lock the design in early 2027

  • Begin production around the middle of 2027

  • Deliver to early supporters later in 2027

These are good-faith estimates, not guaranteed dates. Product development, testing, manufacturing and quality-control issues may change the timetable.

We will provide an update to members at least once a month while the product remains in development.

If we expect a significant delay, we will explain what has changed and provide a revised estimate. Nothing in these terms affects any legal rights you may have if we fail to deliver within an agreed or legally reasonable period.

5. Product design and mechanism

We have developed two possible SwiftLink mechanisms:

  • The push-pull Spring Blade SwiftLink

  • The button-operated Sawtooth SwiftLink

Both are designed to provide the same principal function: invisible micro-adjustment concealed inside a bracelet link.

We have not yet decided which mechanism will be supplied for each Aqua Terra or Railmaster model. The decision will be based on development, testing, reliability, available dimensions and manufacturing requirements.

By placing a development order, you confirm that you are willing to receive either mechanism. Ordering does not give you the right to require one particular mechanism.

Images, prototypes, renders and descriptions shown during development are illustrative. Reasonable changes may be made to dimensions, appearance, finishing, construction and operation as the design is tested and prepared for production, provided that the finished product continues to perform its principal advertised function.

If we determine that we cannot produce a suitable SwiftLink for the model and reference you selected, we will cancel and refund your order.

6. Model compatibility

You are responsible for selecting the correct Omega model and reference when ordering.

Compatibility will be limited to the specific references identified on the product page or confirmed by Steel Reef. Registration of interest in a model does not, by itself, confirm compatibility.

Please contact us before ordering if you are uncertain about your watch or bracelet reference.

The final product is intended only for the confirmed watches and bracelets. We cannot guarantee fitment to unlisted references, aftermarket bracelets or bracelets that have been altered, damaged or modified.

7. Early-supporter involvement

This development-order group is intended to be a small, involved community rather than a conventional list of customers waiting for dispatch.

By joining, you agree to:

  • Receive monthly development updates

  • Consider reasonable requests for feedback

  • Provide feedback when reasonably able to do so

  • Communicate respectfully with Steel Reef and other members of any private group

We may create an optional private discussion group for early supporters. Joining that private group will not be mandatory.

Feedback may inform the project, but individual suggestions are not binding and we cannot guarantee that any particular request will be incorporated.

8. Keeping or selling your watch

Please do not place a development order if you are already considering selling your Aqua Terra or Railmaster before delivery.

Once the funding target has been reached, development-order funds may be committed to engineering, prototyping, tooling, manufacturing and production specifically for the selected watches.

Selling your watch, changing your mind about keeping it or no longer requiring SwiftLink does not create an additional contractual right to cancel beyond your applicable statutory rights and the cancellation rights stated in these terms.

9. Cancellations and refunds

If the funding target is not reached by the end of 2026, everyone will be refunded as described in section 3.

Once the funding target has been reached, funds will begin to be committed to development and production. We therefore ask that you place a development order only if you are committed to the project and comfortable with its estimated timetable.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts any cancellation, refund or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If you are purchasing as a UK consumer online, you may have statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Details of how to exercise any applicable cancellation right will be provided with your order confirmation.

To request a cancellation, contact [INSERT CUSTOMER-SERVICE EMAIL] with your name and order number.

10. If we cannot complete the project

We intend to complete Omega SwiftLink if the funding target is reached. However, development may reveal a technical, manufacturing, reliability or compatibility problem that makes the product impractical to produce.

If we decide that the project cannot reasonably be completed, we will notify you and refund the amount paid for the affected product.

If only one model or reference is affected, we may continue with the remaining compatible versions while refunding orders for the affected model.

11. Price, delivery and import charges

The price charged will be the price displayed at checkout when you place your development order.

Early supporters will receive a discount against the planned public launch price and will be the first customer group to receive the completed product.

Any delivery charge will be displayed at checkout. Customers outside the United Kingdom are responsible for any import duties, taxes, customs charges or handling fees imposed by their country unless the checkout expressly states otherwise.

You are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery details and for informing us of any address change before dispatch.

12. Faulty or misdescribed products

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights concerning goods that are faulty, not as described, unsatisfactory in quality or unfit for their stated purpose.

Any commercial warranty or satisfaction guarantee offered by Steel Reef is additional to, and does not replace, your statutory rights.

13. Installation and use

Installation instructions will be supplied or made available before delivery.

You are responsible for following those instructions and using suitable tools. Steel Reef is not responsible for damage caused by incorrect installation, unsuitable tools, unauthorised modification, misuse or fitting the product to an unconfirmed watch or bracelet.

This does not exclude responsibility that cannot legally be excluded, including responsibility for a product defect or for goods that fail to meet applicable statutory requirements.

14. Intellectual property and feedback

All intellectual-property rights in SwiftLink, including its design, engineering, branding, images and development materials, remain owned by or licensed to Steel Reef.

You may provide ideas and feedback during development. By doing so, you permit us to use that feedback without restriction or payment to improve, manufacture and market the product. You retain ownership of any intellectual property that you already owned before providing the feedback.

15. Omega affiliation

Steel Reef is independent and is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by or sponsored by Omega SA or the Swatch Group.

Omega and the names of its watch models are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify intended compatibility.

16. Changes to these terms

The terms accepted when you place your order will apply to that order.

We may update these terms for future orders or make changes required by law. We will not retrospectively make a material change that disadvantages an existing customer without their agreement, unless the change is legally required.

A copy of the terms applying to your order should be retained with your order confirmation.

17. Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or breach of rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to those exceptions, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made or for business losses suffered by someone purchasing wholly or mainly for business purposes.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you may also benefit from mandatory protections under the laws of your country of residence.

The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, but this does not prevent a consumer from bringing proceedings in any other court available to them under applicable consumer law.

19. Acceptance

By placing an Omega SwiftLink development order, you confirm that you:

  • Have read, understood and accepted these terms

  • Understand that the product is still in development

  • Accept that the delivery timetable is estimated and may change

  • Are willing to receive either the Spring Blade or Sawtooth mechanism

  • Have selected the correct watch model and reference

  • Understand what participation in the early-supporter group involves
