SAPPHIRE CASE BACK INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

It is advised that installation be performed by a professional watchmaker experienced in crystal and bezel press-fit assembly. Please note that authorised dealers will not undertake this modification.

A press tool set is required - installation by hand is not advised. Modification of the watch, including bezel replacement, may affect the manufacturer warranty coverage. Steel Reef is an independent manufacturer and is not affiliated with any watch brand.

REQUIRED TOOLS

• Protective tape
• Case knife
• Press tool with flat nylon dies
• Silicone gasket grease

REMOVE EXISTING BEZEL

• Protect the case sides and lugs with tape to prevent scratches.
• Insert a case knife between the bezel and the watch case.
• Gently pry the bezel until it lifts away from the case.

REMOVE CRYSTAL

• Select nylon press dies that are appropriate for the watch model.
• Place the bezel upside down in the press. The lower die must support the outer edge of the bezel.
• The upper die should closely match the diameter of the crystal.
• Apply steady, even pressure to press the crystal downward until it is fully released from the bezel.

INSTALL CRYSTAL INTO STEEL REEF BEZEL

• Insert the crystal into the bezel from above.
• Position the bezel right side up in a suitably sized lower die.
• The upper die must fully cover the diameter of the crystal.
• Apply even, moderate pressure until the crystal is fully seated in the bezel.

INSTALL BEZEL ASSEMBLY ONTO CASE

• Align the bezel and crystal assembly evenly with the watch case.
• Use a press die that contacts only the outer edge of the bezel.
• Apply steady, controlled pressure until the bezel is fully seated.
• Do not apply pressure directly to the crystal.
