While home installation is possible by carefully following the steps below, we strongly recommend having this work carried out by a professional watch jeweler or independent watchmaker experienced in bezel assembly. Authorised retailers for any specific watch brand will not undertake this modification.
Installation Process
- Use a desktop bezel remover tooldo not enter underneath the bezel at the click spring location
- Support the bezel ring from underneath to prevent flexing. Apply gentle, even pressure to push out the insert from behind.
- Place a the gasket ring into the bezel channel, ensuring it sits flat and flush.
Apply a small amount of silicone-based watch lubricant for smoother bezel rotation.
- Align the new bezel insert carefully and press it evenly into place. It should click in with firm, even pressure and sit flush all around.
- Position the assembled bezel over the case. Using a desktop bezel press tool, apply uniform downward pressure until fully seated.
Important Notes
• Use of the correct tools is critical. Do not use handheld bezel removers or fine-tipped tools designed for other cases—these can bend the bezel ring and make reinstallation impossible.
• Any modification to your watch—including bezel or gasket replacement—may void the manufacturer’s warranty. Proceed at your own discretion.
