RETURNS POLICY

At Steel Reef, every component is produced in small, precision-engineered batches and inspected to tight tolerances. To maintain these standards, our returns process is intentionally strict and designed to be fair, consistent, and transparent.

We provide detailed descriptions, measurements, and compatibility information to help you make an informed purchase prior to ordering.

Unopened and Unused Items

We accept returns on unopened, unused items within 14 days of delivery.

To qualify, the product must remain in:

  • its original, sealed packaging
  • unused and uninstalled
  • unhandled beyond basic inspection of the external box

For change-of-mind returns, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and original shipping costs are non-refundable.

This policy exists because precision-engineered components cannot be resold once opened or handled.

Opened Items

Once an item has been opened, installed, test-fitted, or used in any way, it is final sale and not eligible for return unless the product is faulty.

This protects the integrity of our products, as:

  • installation can cause internal or structural stress
  • fine finishes can mark from even careful handling
  • opened components require extensive refinishing and cannot be resold as new

For this reason, opened items are treated with the same standard applied to luxury watches: once seals, protective films, or packaging are broken, the item is considered used.

Faulty or Incorrect Items

In the rare event that an item arrives defective or incorrect, Steel Reef will:

  • cover all return shipping costs, and
  • provide a replacement or full refund

Return Process

1. Contact Us

Email returns@steel-reef.com with your order number and the reason for the return request.

2. Shipping Responsibility
  • Change of mind (unopened items): customer pays return shipping
  • Faulty/incorrect items: Steel Reef covers all shipping costs
3. Secure Packaging

Return items must be packed securely in the original box to avoid transit damage.

4. Tracked Shipping

Returns must be sent via a tracked service.

Once shipped, email the tracking number to returns@steel-reef.com.

International Orders

We ship worldwide. Customers are responsible for understanding and complying with their country’s import duties, taxes, and regulations.

  • Duties and taxes are not included in product prices unless otherwsie indicated at checkout
  • Any non-payment or refusal may delay delivery
  • If a parcel is returned due to non-compliance, a refund will be issued once received back at our facility (minus shipping costs and where applicable, import duties)

Steel Reef cannot liaise with customs authorities on your behalf.

Ensuring Correct Delivery Information

To ensure successful delivery:

  • double-check your address at checkout
  • contact us immediately if a correction is needed

Steel Reef is not responsible for delays or additional costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses.

Refunds

Once a returned item is received and inspected, refunds are processed within 10 business days. Processing times vary depending on your payment provider.

You will receive an email confirmation once your refund is completed.
