Ordered the on the fly extension link for my rolex explorer. Was pretty taken aback by how poorly it was machined. The inner clasp component was rough and not cleanly finished. The outer center link was obviously asymmetrical.
I understand if they cannot replciate rolex quality, that is fine. But what is inexcusible to me is -
1) they advertize this as a premium product that looks perfect on this listing when it is clearly sub premium; “premium” is subjective of course but i cant imagine someone disagreeing with this after seeing the thing in person.
2) they again did not let my review through after multiple attempts.
2) they say “26 units sold today” on their listing which is completely not true; that banner stays put on their listing and doesnt change.
3) they made me pay return shipping when i sent this back which cost me $50 usd.

Perfect in every way. I tied couple of online retailers that offer extension links and half links. Steel Reef is by far better than any of them. The quality is amazing. Delivery was fast from UK to USA, about a week. Yes, they are not cheap by any means. But you get what you paid for.

The product finally arrived kast week agter j ordered it in the 4th quarter 2025 with an original ship date of December 31 2025. Bwry frustrated with their communication, or lack there of. The lroduct itself is fine, I suppose. I ended up going with a different Tudor T Clasp and didnt install the On The Fly extension link ordered from Steel Reef.
Overall, very disappointed in their communication. If tou order from them, just be prepared to wait…at least on their preorder items.
Works like a charm. Wish i knew about it sooner. Love that Steel Reef took the initiative and made a product like this for watch brands dont take into account for it customers. Well done!

Tried to leave a review multiple times through steelreef but they wouldnt publish it. Hopefully this one through the Shop app goes through:
Ordered the on the fly extension link for my rolex explorer. Was pretty taken aback by how poorly it was machined. The inner clasp component was rough and not cleanly finished. The outer center link was obviously asymmetrical.
I understand if they cannot replciate rolex quality, that is fine. But what is inexcusible to me is -
1) they advertize this as a premium product that looks perfect on this listing when it is clearly sub premium; “premium” is subjective of course but i cant imagine someone disagreeing with this after seeing the thing in person.
2) they again did not let my review through after multiple attempts.
2) they say “26 units sold today” on their listing which is completely not true; that banner stays put on their listing and doesnt change.

So far so good! Works well and does exactly what it’s supposed to. The clicks feel very deliberate and dont pop out on their own. Sizing is a tad longer than the standard oyster link but it hasnt stopped me from being able to achieve a great fit with the micro adjust. Overall I’d say im very happy with the product and glad to finally have it now.
