To me, bracelets without on-the-fly micro-adjustments are primitive, but like everyone else I have some watches that did not provide them. Omega and Grand Seiko being the most chronic violators.
After months of waiting for an Explorer II link, I was not disappointed. SteelReef notified me that they had inventory and they shipped fast. The quality is great, the instructions are clear, and the difference it makes is so big that Rolex should be embarrassed that they did not make this link themselves. (What would they have charged? More than $135!)
This is my third SteelReef extension link and I have signed up for two more. Just a great product.
Installation tip: the only way you can install this link backwards is to add the link with the **** going the opposite way of all other screws on your bracelet. SteelReef isn't dumb and they didn't do this. Assume a smart design and the installation takes five minutes.
Fits my 16700 GMT perfectly. I just needed a fraction more space on the strap than how it was supplied to me. This fitted perfectly and looks the same as the other links so I’m 100% happy and would recommend. Shipping was also very prompt.
Purchased for my new 126500. Fits perfectly. Pics on TRF. Brushed finish matches OEM well. High polish isn't quite as fine as Rolex OEM but it's not noticeable on the wrist and with some wear and patina all is good. The only alternative to this is to buy a submariner half link and polish the center link. That's $300 more than this.
What can i say, the half link arrived a couple of days after I ordered it. I put it straight on the 39mm Explorer and it looks and feels like a genuine Rolex link. It’s so good that I’ve asked them to make one for the 36mm Explorer. I’m so pleased I found Steel Reef and I look forward to shopping with them again.
